From Pledge to Impact: Operationalizing Net-Zero Finance Targets

From Pledge to Impact Operationalizing Net-Zero Finance Targets

Commitments to net-zero from the financial sector are on the rise, peaking at COP26, where 450 financial institutions in 45 countries pledged $130tn to back climate action, known as the Glasgow Financial Alliance for Net Zero (GFANZ). In 2022, the discussion moves from ambition to action, as organizations seek to understand the details on what finance net-zero targets need to include and how you can put them into action.

Today, tools and frameworks to set science-based targets and develop action plans for real economy climate impact exist. However, financial portfolios are complex, covering many asset types, sectors and geographies. To align all finance flows and portfolios on a net-zero pathway, avoid “greenwashing”; and address the ever-present data gaps, remains a challenge for the financial sector.

Join experts from financial institutions as they share practical advice from their journey to net-zero, covering target setting, roadmap development and engaging portfolios. This webinar organized by Schneider Electric will help both, investors and investees to understand some key steps for combined impact.
