Before the Exam: Preparation
-
Upon purchasing the exam, you will receive the comprehensive GRESB AP Handbook, which contains all study materials. Additionally, you can find key information about GRESB on our website and access relevant documents on our resources page.
-
Study times vary depending on your existing familiarity level with GRESB. Some examinees may wish to take the exam with minimal studying if they consider themselves experienced GRESB reporters, others may wish to spread their studying over several hours or days to equip themselves. Either way, a well-prepared examinee should find it feasible to complete the exam within 2-3 hours.
-
The GRESB AP Handbook is only available upon exam purchase. However, the resources page of our website contains many guidance materials – including the GRESB Reference Guide and Scoring Documents, Technical FAQs, and more – that you may find useful for preparing.
During the Exam: Navigation and Process
-
Questions can be skipped and returned to later by bookmarking them, provided the section has not been submitted. Upon completion of each section, examinees will be prompted to “Submit section.” Once submitted, answers cannot be revisited or altered.
-
There is a 24-hour window for completion. Although the exam is typically completed within two to three hours, examinees have the flexibility to manage their time throughout the day.
-
Questions in the exam are drawn at random from a larger question bank, meaning that new attempts will contain a different set of questions.
In every attempt, the exam will continue to be broken down into three sections: the Fundamentals section, the Reporting section, and the Results section.
