GRESB Data Center Assessment

GRESB will be launching a new Data Center Assessment in 2026, following a pilot assessment scheduled for Q3 2025. Learn more about the Assessment, the Data Center Working Group, and the partnership with Infrastructure Masons below.

A new sustainability benchmark for data centers

As demand for digital infrastructure accelerates, GRESB and Infrastructure Masons (iMasons) have joined forces to create the world’s first global sustainability benchmark tailored to data centers.

The GRESB Data Center Assessment is designed to meet the specific needs of investors, developers, and operators navigating the fast-growing data center market. A pilot assessment will launch in Q3 2025, with a full assessment scheduled for release in 2026.

This initiative is driven by the GRESB Data Center Working Group (DCWG)—a cross-sector coalition of more than 20 representatives from automation, energy management, computing, technology, and investment. Together, the DCWG, GRESB, and iMasons are defining the performance indicators and sustainability priorities most relevant to data centers.
