What’s New in July

With the GRESB Portal closed as of July 1, we have been hard at work doing quality control–performing manual and automated checks to ensure data accuracy. Below you can find details on what to expect next and key updates on:

  • Exporting asset-level data via the Asset Analytics tab (real estate)
  • Downloading 2025 Submitted Data via the Data Exporter (infrastructure)
  • Customizing your peer group as of August 1 (real estate)

Asset-Level Data Now Available Through Asset Analytics

Real estate investors and participants can now access asset-level data through the Asset Analytics tab in the GRESB Portal—earlier than ever before. The Asset Analytics tab allows participants and investors to engage meaningfully with asset-level data beyond the portfolio results available in the Benchmark Report.

Early access offers new opportunities for performance analysis, engagement, and strategic planning, all before the final results are released in October. What’s included:

  • Asset-level metrics calculated from the performance data available in the GRESB Asset Portal
  • Energy, GHG, Water, and Waste metrics, such as data coverage, like-for-like, and consumption metrics, and intensities

Asset-level data in the Asset Analytics tab will be refreshed when final results are released in October. Participants can choose to share their data with investors now, in October, any other time in between, or not at all.

Learn more about Asset Analytics and get started here.

Infrastructure investors and participants can access submitted assessment data via the new 2025 Submitted Data feature in the Data Exporter. Learn more here.

Customized Peer Groups

Peer group customization for real estate will be available from August 1 to August 15.

This year, the Customized Peer Group functionality has been upgraded to give you greater control, flexibility, and clarity. Key updates include:

  • Improved peer search, filtering, and selection
  • Option to start fresh or reuse the previous year’s criteria selection
  • Ability to delete the customized peer groups (during the customization period)

These improvements make it easier to compare your portfolio to the most relevant peer group—ensuring your benchmarking aligns more closely with your strategy.

GRESB’s Inaugural TCFD Report

GRESB has published its first Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) Report, marking a key milestone in our internal climate strategy. The report details how GRESB identifies, assesses, and manages climate-related risks and opportunities—reflecting the same standards of disclosure and accountability we advocate across the USD 9 trillion in assets we benchmark.

Structured around governance, strategy, risk management, and metrics, the TCFD Report reinforces our commitment as a Net Zero Financial Service Providers Alliance (NZFSPA) signatory and strengthens our role as a climate-focused partner to the financial sector.

Introducing GRESB Solution Providers

A new kind of partner, built for what’s next!

To meet today’s challenges, managers need partners who can provide the tools and expertise to design, build, and operate better performing and more sustainable assets.

That’s why GRESB launched GRESB Solution Providers—a new type of partnership that connects managers with organizations offering specialized tools, technologies, and services that drive tangible sustainability performance beyond the GRESB Assessment.

Learn more about the Solution Provider program and how it is expanding what partnership means at GRESB—and check out some of our first GRESB Solution Providers already making an impact.

GRESB & Regulations

As sustainability regulations evolve, GRESB offers a complementary, industry-specific toolkit that helps managers and investors go beyond compliance—building resilience, improving performance, and driving long-term value.

With regulations becoming increasingly complex, fragmented, and unpredictable, real asset stakeholders are operating in an environment that can make it difficult to plan, act, and benchmark with confidence.

GRESB provides stability through a globally consistent, sector-specific framework—purpose-built for real assets. By turning fragmented disclosures into meaningful strategies, GRESB enables action, not just transparency.

Foundation Members In-Person Meetings

Members of the GRESB Foundation Board came together for their annual in person meeting during London Climate Week. We were delighted to have nearly all the Foundation Board members in attendance, including the Chairs of both the Real Estate and Infrastructure Standards Committees, Sasha Njagulj and Neil Krawitz. The meeting include discussions around the strategic evolution of the standards and new investor sustainability insights and tools to improve performance and create value. GRESB also hosted investors, managers, and solution providers at the inaugural Physical Climate Risk Summit & Solution Showcase to accelerate climate resilience across real assets.
