With the launch of Fundamentals just around the corner, now is a great time to explore GRESB’s new focused approach to validating sustainability governance and risk management practices.

What’s Next After Submission?

With the 2026 GRESB Assessment submission deadline tomorrow, attention turns to validation, preliminary results, and the tools and services available in the months ahead.

Customized Peer Groups for Real Estate

In response to participant feedback, the Customized Peer Groups functionality will be available earlier in the 2026 assessment season. From July 20 to August 15, real estate participants can review and customize their peer groups in the GRESB Portal. The feature enables participants to compare results against a more tailored set of peers based on characteristics such as location, sector, and fund size.

Early Access to Assessment Data

Infrastructure
Infrastructure participants can access submitted assessment data through the Submitted Data feature in the Data Exporter. Available through the GRESB Portal, the feature enables investors, managers, and assets to download submitted assessment data before results are released, supporting reporting, engagement, and decision-making.

Real Estate
From late July, real estate investors will be able to access asset-level data from GRESB Assessment submissions through the new Asset Analytics tab. This early access supports more proactive engagement, timely insights, and better-informed decisions across real estate portfolios.

Preliminary Results and Assessment Correction

The Assessment Correction is a post-submission service carried out during the review period after the release of preliminary results on September 1. It is designed to strengthen the reliability of GRESB Assessments results and can be used when a participant identifies an error in submitted data and wishes to correct it.

The service can be requested from September 1 to September 15 .

Year-Round Support

Although the 2026 GRESB Assessment submission period is closing, a range of services remain available to support participants through the next stages of the assessment cycle—from validation and preliminary results to understanding final results and preparing for future participation.

  • Technical Expert Touchpoint: Available year-round, this service provides focused, one-on-one facetime engagement with a GRESB Member Success expert, offering tailored guidance at any stage of your GRESB journey.
  • Success Suite: A new bundled offering that brings together core premium support elements in the GRESB journey, including: one GRESB AP seat, one Technical Expert Touchpoint, one Pre-Submission Check, eligibility to opt in to Assessment Correction, and one Results Performance Review.
  • Results Performance Review: Available after results are released on October 1, this service provides a forward-looking understanding of Benchmark Results, helping participants identify opportunities for improvement and prepare for future assessment cycles.
