IREM® offers the IREM® Certified Sustainable Property certification to existing office properties, multifamily communities, and shopping centers. The certification provides an affordable, attainable, and meaningful sustainability recognition program for investment real estate assets. GRESB participants will find the IREM® certification particularly useful for: Scaling sustainability across portfolios, engaging site teams to improve sustainability performance at the asset level, and earning additional points in the Building Certifications Aspect of the GRESB assessment.
Energy Management Training IREM® offers a comprehensive online energy management training program that includes two basic courses and an advanced three-course series. The program includes: Accessing & Using Energy Data to Improve Property Operations, Financing Energy Efficiency Projects, Enhancing Property Value with Deep Retrofits, Identifying & Presenting a Deep Retrofit Opportunity and Calculating Deep Retrofit Value. The courses are appropriate for real estate professionals, including executives, portfolio managers, asset managers, property managers, and site teams, as well as attorneys, appraisers, lenders, and brokers, who would like to build knowledge of energy efficiency measures and how efficiency contributes to real estate asset value.
