The death of a worker arising from an occupational injury or disease sustained or contracted while in the entity’s employ.

A measure of the total number of instances of being injured, (including occupational diseases and occupational disabilities, and fatalities) arising from operations expressed as a percentage of total number of employees.

A measure of the impact of occupational accidents and diseases as reflected in time off work by the affected workers. It is expressed by comparing the total workdays lost due to occupational injury to the total days scheduled to be worked by the workforce during the reporting year.

Near misses

A work-related event with the potential to cause injury, disability or disease to workers or the public (also known as “dangerous occurrences”).

Severity rate

A measure of the severity of incidents. It is expressed by taking the total number of lost work days over the total number of recordable incidents.

chevron-rightValidation: What evidence is required?hashtag
